Health and Disability Program (HDP) Listening Session

The Division of Community Engagement and the Health and Disability Program welcomes us to join their virtual listening session on respiratory illnesses and vaccines. One of the vaccines they will be talking about is the COVID-19 vaccine. 

This is happening on Tuesday, August 13th from 6-7:30pm over zoom.

DDS Project- Individual Assessment Tool – Self-Advocate Feedback Session!

Join self-advocates from Massachusetts and Mass. Advocates Standing Strong on Tuesday, October 17 from 4:30 PM to 5:15 PM online via Zoom to learn and give feedback about the new person-centered assessment tool that measures support needs. The goal of the meeting is to get feedback from self-advocates on our communication, resources, and to gather questions that we can include on a list of FAQs. The first phase of the project will be focused on self-direction.

Disability Law Center, League of Women Voters of Massachusetts, Mass Advocates Standing Strong, Stavros, Metro West Independent Living Center, The Provider’s Council and more will be hosting the REV UP Mass 2023 Webinar! This webinar will be free and held virtually on September 20th, 2023, from 12:30pm-2:00pm (EST) with a volunteer training on surveying polling sites for accessibility issues from 2-3 PM, and will focus on voting rights, voter registration and important upcoming legislation for people with disabilities living in Massachusetts.

"Autistic and disabled residents are being shocked for behaviors deemed inappropriate by staff at the Judge Rotenberg Center in Canton, MA."

"You can help to finally put a stop to this barbaric practice! There will be a multi-organization peaceful protest on May 22 on the Boston Common near the State House. This will include a Hill Day on May 23 for those interested in scheduling meetings with their State Representatives to gain support for bill H.180."

The 45th Annual Legislative Reception

The Arc of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council (MDDC) are hosting the 45th Annual Legislative Reception. The theme for this year's reception is "Disability Workforce Equity Now!" Join MASS as well as several hundred citizens, family members, and staff in the field. Accomodations must be requested by Feb 22. Online registration will stay open until March 1.
