Join us with the Winthrop Commission on Disability and the Friends of Winthrop Beach for a free, fun-filled day celebrating accessible outdoor recreation at Deer Island. Other partners include the MWRA, Access 2 Community and Friendship, WINARC, and Division of Marine Fisheries.
Family-friendly, accessible, and inclusive activities include: cycling with adaptive bikes, rides on pedicabs around the island, fishing lessons (bait, rod & reel ready for your lesson!), or cruise around the island aboard the MV Massachusetts.
Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the view! Don't forget the sunscreen!
Please register so enough bikes and rods & reels can be reserved, and register especially if you are requesting an accommodation. You can register online or call (617) 240-2487. Allow at least two weeks (14 days) advance notice when requesting accommodations. Last-minute requests will be accepted, but they may be unable to fulfill the request.
