Faye Alexandra Jones

Hi my name is Faye Alexandra Jones and the reason why I became a self-advocate is because I feel that people with special needs need a voice. Also, someone to be a role model to younger kids who have special needs or not.

Another reason why I want to be a self-advocate is because I want to make a difference in everybody’s life, and make a big impact in the world. I had written a Guide to success but I have not put it out in the public because I don’t know how it would work in the public eye & on social media.

I am working on my Special Needs Project and it is all about people with special needs who need a voice to be heard. People who cannot walk can have someone who can get the shopping. Also, it is all about making people aware of people with special needs & have them learn from people like us because we know that we are different.

Self-advocacy means a lot to me because I can fight for myself for people to be nice to people like us. I think we can make history by making people see what we can do. Although we are different, we are human beings no matter what challenges might come up. People with special needs have feelings just as other people do. We want to be treated as equals, not as different.

I have been doing self-advocacy for several years. I have been doing it for myself everyday and I want to thank the people that helped me to be a self-advocate so thank you for your hard work!
